Governor Kemp’s Statewide Executive Order: Guidelines for Businesses
On April 20, Gov. Kemp announced new guidance to allow more businesses the option to open on April 24 and 27 if they follow Minimum Basic Operations and specific health and wellness guidelines; while bars, nightclubs, amusement parks, public pools and live performance venues will remain closed.

Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)
Guidance on Preparing Workplaces
This guidance is not a standard or regulation, and it creates no new legal obligations. It contains recommendations as well as descriptions of mandatory safety and health standards. The recommendations are advisory in nature, informational in content, and are intended to assist employers in providing a safe and healthful workplace. The Occupational Safety and Health Act requires employers to comply with safety and health standards and regulations promulgated by OSHA or by a state with an OSHA-approved state plan.

Georgia Board of Cosmetology and Barbers Issue Safety Guidelines for Reopening:
  Salon/shop owners and managers should use the OSHA “Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19” as a guide for reopening. Listed HERE are some of the top-level guidelines for salon and spa operators to follow.

Retail Stores: Open for Business – A Blueprint for Shopping Safe
The protocols proposed by the Retail Industry Leaders Association were developed in accordance with CDC guidelines and benchmarking between leading retailers who have shared their operational experiences over the past six weeks. A mutually agreed upon blueprint will accomplish three key objectives: (1) Protect our communities (2) Allow for the safe reopening of retail and (3) Establish clear expectations for employees and customers.
