Feeling Anxious?

Bliss Mama Wellness offered some great tips for managing stress and finding peace in these uncertain times:
"As your holistic healing spa, we aim to help you stay in good health physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. While we are still open and serving the community with our healing spa services, we want to offer some tips for managing stress at home."

Here are a few great techniques for managing anxious feelings:
1. Set a chill atmosphere. Light candles. Dim the lights. Play relaxing spa music.
You will be amazed at how these simple things can calm your nerves, as well as the people and animals around you.

2. Breathe. Try counting to 4 as you slowly inhale, and to 6 as you exhale, extending your breathe. As you do this, consciously release your jaw, shoulders and back muscles.
Few the tension in your body and notice how it feels to release it.

3. Use lavender, or a soothing essential oil blend. Pour a few drops on your fingertips and massage into your your earlobes.
The ears have reflex points that help to balance the entire body.

4. Fill a tube sock with dry rice and tie off with a hair tie. Microwave for 1-2 minutes until warm. Use to wrap around the neck, put behind low back, or warm up cold toes in bed.
Gentle heat will soothe tired muscles and help relax and induce sleep.

5. Drink water and herbal teas, & limit or avoid sugary drinks and caffeine.
Give your body plenty of healthy hydration to process energy and detox.

6. Set limits for watching or reading the news. Stay informed without falling into the hole.
Now, more than ever, we must guard what we feed our minds. We can’t be strong for the family if we are bound with anxiety and fear. Acknowledge the facts and move forward taking smart action, while honoring relaxation, calm and peaceful energy, too.
